Camelot Stables purchased the Holstein stallion Mosquito from Spruce Meadows in 1983. Mosquito had been shown successfully by the Southern family for several seasons.
With Nancy riding, he won an International competition in Rotterdam, representing Canada. In 1983, he also won the Manitoba Grand Prix with Spruce Meadow's Riding Master, Albert Kley
Before arriving in Canada, Mosquito was many times a member of the German show jumping team and ridden by Henrick Snoek.
